Carpenter does a job for someone mending his washing machine. Woman cleans your house (cough couhg splutter splutter - but in times of need even I..) or does ironing for cooker being fixed.
Don't know how bad it could get but might as well be working together with what you have got. Make sure the weak, ill and elderly don't go to the wall.

There is only about 66 million in UK. Could give us a million each and still have change. Would be cheaper. Can't believe govt giving so much to bottomless hole which still wont close and wont even take a 1 penny of business tax to help struggling small businesses.

Your a smart woman Junie, parring up with friends buying in bulk and deviding it saves us enough money to be able to eat. We have all pulled our heads together in our neighborhood and we have decided we have enough land and knowledge to raise a rather large garden next summer buy a few cows, pigs and chickens and try to be self sufficent. Times are calling for it and we do live in the country where we have enough land to do it thank God!
